Q. How much does it cost to rent a Track Scan scanner?

A. Track Scan Rental Scanner with one headset for raceday is $35.00. You can add a second or third headset (so two or three people can listen) for $15.00 each. If you are there for the weekend, rent the scanner and headset for just $5.00 more for the entire weekend.   The scanner will be programmed with all teams in each series participating during the event weekend.

Q. What does the scanner do?

A. The scanner allows you to listen to drivers and their crews, race officials and radio and TV broadcasts. You can scan a selection of drivers or listen to your favorite driver.

Q. Is Track Scan located at every race track?

A. Yes. Track Scan is at every NASCAR Nextel Cup event, on track property in the merchandise areas and other select locations. We are also located at select Indy Racing League events.

Q. Will you run out of scanners?

A. We have plenty of rental scanners. Just stop at a Track Scan trailer when you arrive at the track to pick yours up. Avoid the pre-race rush and get your Track Scan Scanner for the entire weekend.

Q. Can I return my rental scanner anywhere?

A. Yes, you can return your rental scanner to any one of the Track Scan locations that is convenient for you, even if it is not the location from which you rented. If you have trouble getting back to one of our Track Scan locations after the race or forget to return it, don't panic, just call our office at 800-669-1822 and let us know you'll be shipping it back. We do need to receive it before the end of the week.

Q. Do you take credit cards?

A. Yes, we take MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. For Rentals, we do need a credit card for the security deposit. We make an imprint of the credit card (we do no keep the card) and obtain your signature. The deposit is voided when you return the scanner.

Q. How many headsets come with each scanner?

A. One headset is included with each rental scanner. You can add one or two more headsets for an additional $15.00 each.

Q. What do I do if I rent a scanner for the weekend?

A. Keep the scanner with you for the duration of the weekend (you do not have to return it every night). The scanner is pre-programmed with all series’ participating during the event weekend.  We do recommend you stop by during the weekend to check for any frequency updates and for fresh batteries if the battery indicator begins to show half full.
